The four-year project OPTIBIOCAT focuses on the development of environmentally friendly processes in the cosmetics industry. The aim is to use enzymes to produce active ingredients for cosmetics in a few reaction steps in a more sustainable and cost-effective way. OPTIBIOCAT brings together a broad interdisciplinary team of researchers, academics and industry experts from Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Portugal, Greece, Sweden and Finland. The consortium’s largest industrial partner is the Greek natural cosmetics manufacturer Korres.
BIOCOM is responsible for the “Work Package 7: Communication and exploitation” within the project.
