Medical Technology Back on Track

Berlin, 14 January 2023 – German medical technology companies remain a cornerstone of the healthcare economy in Germany and are continuing to make a significant contribution to the country’s export-driven economic growth, even in these challenging times. Economic experts anticipate revenues of approximately €36 billion for 2021, representing an 8% increase compared to 2020, placing the sector back on the growth trajectory seen in recent years.

With the seventh edition of the “Guide to German Medtech Companies”, BIOCOM AG highlights this positive development and showcases the extensive expertise within the German medical technology sector. The guide serves as a comprehensive compendium of companies – ranging from medtech developers, manufacturers, and service providers to event organisers and industry associations. In addition, the latest trends within the sector, such as digital health and automation, are summarised.

The Guide to German Medtech Companies is supported by Germany Trade & Invest, BVMed e.V., Medical Valley EMN e.V., Life Science Nord, Medical Mountains, SPECTARIS, Forum MedTech Pharma, MicroTec Südwest, IVAM, and VDMA. These national organisations and regional networks are key players contributing to the continued growth of “Medtech made in Germany”. They provide the ideal environment for traditional family-run businesses, global players, start-ups, technological pioneers, manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers to thrive.
